Atoms The smallest particles of matter.It has all the characteristics of an element. 

The central part of an atom and contains are called the Nucleus.

Minerals Naturally occurring. Solid substance. Generally considered inorganic.

How minerals form: 

1. Crystallization from magma

2. Precipitation

3. Pressure and temperature

4. Hydrothermal solutions

Mineral Groups can be classified based on their composition. Silicates, Carbonates, Oxides,

Sulfates and Sulfides, Halides and Native elements are included on mineral groups.
